Red clover (Trifolium pratense L.) is a valuable forage crop, but its seed yield is often
unsatisfactory, especially in tetraploid varieties. Aiming to unravel the factors underlying seed yield in red clover, we investigated the relation between seed yield per plant, plant architecture, flower morphology, pollinator preference and fertility.
